Why put one on a product page

Size uncertainty is the reason a full basket becomes an abandoned one, and a wrong size is the reason a sale becomes a return. A converter answers the question on the page where it gets asked, instead of sending the customer to a search engine and hoping they come back.

The steps

1. Configure the widget. On the embed page, pick the category and direction, then copy the snippet.
2. Add a Code block. Edit the page, add a block and choose Code. Make sure the block mode is set to HTML rather than Markdown, otherwise the iframe is escaped.
3. Paste and save. Paste the snippet and save. Squarespace does not render Code blocks while editing, so use the site preview to check it.

This is a shoe converter starting from EU sizes. Use the configurator to change the category, the direction, the theme and the width before you copy.

The thing that usually goes wrong

Code blocks are not available on the entry-level Squarespace plan. If the block type is missing, that is the reason, and linking to the relevant chart page is a reasonable substitute that costs nothing.

What it costs you

Nothing, and that is not a trial. The widget is a static file: no external font, no analytics, no third-party script and never an affiliate link, so it cannot slow your store down or track your customers. It carries a small "Sizes by MySizeCharts" link, which we ask you to keep, since that link is what pays for the charts staying free and neutral.
