Changelog

What has been added, corrected and improved on MySizeCharts, with dates. This is how we keep the reference honest and current.

August 5, 2026: Sources, methodology and a smaller index

  • Every category page now names the standard behind its numbers, or says plainly that no international standard exists. Ring sizes follow ISO 8653, shoe sizes the Mondopoint system of ISO 9407, body measurements ISO 8559-1 and EN 13402. Hats, belts, socks and bras have no standard we know of, and the pages say so.
  • Added a methodology page documenting the physical anchor and the rounding rule per category, plus the two conversions where published sources genuinely disagree and which side this site takes.
  • Every chart page now names the person who reviewed it and the date, with a direct route to report an error.
  • Added three comparison pages: US against EU ring sizes, Paris points against barleycorns, and why clothing sizes disagree. Each carries a table that appears nowhere else on the site, including the millimetre value of one ring size step and the foot length gained per shoe size at every row.
  • Every shoe size page now states the exact step to its neighbouring sizes, the measurement above which the next size is closer, and the sock size the same foot falls into.
  • The sock chart now shows what the range printed on a packet means and adds children's sock bands derived from the kids shoe chart.
  • Retired 59 conversion pages that had no measured demand, folding them into the hub that already answered the same question.
  • The site is now called MySizeCharts everywhere, matching the domain, and states explicitly that it is not affiliated with MySize Inc. or mysizeid.com.
  • The JSON API now carries a version, a real last-changed date taken from version control and a machine-readable CC BY 4.0 licence, with a pinned copy at /api/v1/ and an RSS feed of this changelog at /changelog.xml.
  • The embed page is now a configurator: pick the category, direction, theme and width and copy the code that matches. Added install guides for Shopify, WooCommerce and Squarespace.
  • Added a return cost calculator for shop owners and a page describing what can be paid for, so that everything free stays free.
  • The sitemap is now an index of ten segments with dates taken from version control rather than from the build clock, and robots.txt now names the AI crawlers it allows.

July 25, 2026: A page for every size

  • Every adult shoe size now has its own conversion page in each direction, half sizes included, instead of a hand-picked selection.
  • Added foot length conversion pages: centimetres to US, UK and EU, and each country's sizes to centimetres.
  • Added a page for every US men's and women's size in both the men's to women's and women's to men's directions.
  • Added a page for every kids shoe size from baby through youth, including the Y sizes.
  • Added a page for every women's clothing size on each US, UK, EU and Italy conversion route.
  • Extended the belt chart so every EU belt number has its own page, keyed to the trouser waist it fits.
  • Corrected the shoe FAQ, which described the UK to US men's offset as a full size where the chart uses half a size, and the EU 39 example, which named a US women's 8.5 instead of an 8.
  • Corrected the sock chart FAQ, which gave the medium range as US men's 8 to 9 instead of 7.5 to 9.

July 2, 2026: Launch

  • Published ring, shoe, bra, hat, clothing, glove, belt and sock size charts.
  • Added interactive converters for ring, shoe and hat, and a bra size calculator.
  • Added country-pair conversion pages for ring, shoe and hat.
  • Added printable charts, including a print-at-scale ring sizer and a foot ruler.
  • Published the free JSON API and the embeddable converter widget.
